Course Outline

One Day Shadowing Experience with Maegen Kennedy, M.M.S., PA-C. Shadowing an experienced Medical Aesthetic Injector is the perfect way to figure out if a career in this industry is right for you OR maybe you’re wanting to take your skills to a higher level. Whether you’re a seasoned doctor or a recent medical school graduate shadowing will give you a better understanding of what a successful injector’s typical day is like. It’s also a great way to gain familiarity with the different medical aesthetic specialties and you’ll experience how a cash-only medical spa should function.

PA Kennedy is a GenNow GAIN trainer (only 1 of 20 in the world) who travels the country educating other injectors on safe practices, cannula techniques and the art of natural-looking aesthetics. Shadowing PA Kennedy means that you are following her during a full day of scheduled clients, as she engages her daily duties. You will observe how PA Kennedy interacts with her patients, performs consultations and procedures, converses with her medical spa team, and even how she creates customized programs.

PA Kennedy will introduce you to each patient and explain that you are a medical professional shadowing, so expect to talk to patients. Some people may be uncomfortable having you in the room during an examination or the entire appointment, so you may be asked to step out. Other patients may ask you questions about yourself, education or your plans to become an injector. In either case, it’s important that you keep all patient information private. You will be required to sign HIPAA documents.
